But let me tell you anyway because it's not often that She can claim a thought simiar to that of a literary big brain.
But She can. Honesty promise.
I have always been on the 'baggy' side. They used to be able to grasp great swathes of skin and sort of rotate it around me. Even now, when I curl up, (even after She has dieted me) I still have a few wrinkles. But back then, I was really flobby. So they added Flobbins.
If you google my name (I have done this a few times) you will find blog references to me and Teas. But you will also see this
She explained it to me like this ...A House To Let is a novella by a collaboration of four writers - Charles Dickens, Wilkie Collins, Elizabeth Gaskell and Adelaide Anne Proctor. The narrator, with the wonderful name of Sophonisba, has a maid called Peggy Flobbins. As Dickens wrote the first chapter in which the character Peggy Flobbins is named, I'm assuming he came up with the choice. And I would love to think, that whilst casting this character he sat, quill poised and candle flickering, looked down at his faithful companion curled up at his feet (and I mean his dog and not his wife) and said, My, how flobby she is. Flobbins shall be her name. Well, it could have happened couldn't it?
Now if She could just channel some more of Dickens' thoughts, Teabag and me could have a chicken dinner every day and twice on Sundays.

I am very impressed with the technical drawings. I would be darted from head to toe with 'flob' arrows.
Now what about Tea Bag. How did she get her name? I might even mention how my dog, Archie Bubbles Bum Bum came to be. Or maybe not:)
thank you- I had wondered where her name came from.
Ah, can't dogs do the wonderfullest things these days? The wee thing can not only lay claim to a direct Dickensian link but clearly knows her way 'round a keyboard like a pro - bless Peggy F - spare flobs on a pooch is fine - it's the human equivalent I have a hard time with.
I'm with you Fia - I don't want to be labelled up. Put that camera down Lane!
Please carry on with the dog pics though - very cute.
Fia - I'm intrigued about Archie's name but am slightly dubious as to what the reason may be .... bubbles??:-)
Sonia - it's Peg's pleasure:-)
Debs R - Peg's spare flobs were getting - let's just say, beyond the cute stage. Chickie dinner/milky bone rationing was enforced. I don't think she was pleased:-)
Denise - I'm bringing it to London of course but I promise not to label you up:-)
I'm so relieved that Ma didn't 'A House To Let', I could so easily have been Chris Flobbins! Lovely to see you, Peggy - flobby bits and all.
Did you spot the deliberate mistake? Please insert 'read' in the appropriate place - I must also read my comments before I press send.
I had no idea that novella even existed, and now I want to read it. I had wondered where the name Peggy Flobbins came from, so thanks for this post.
Thank your lucky stars she wasn't reading David Copperfield or you could be called Uriah Heep.
As for being spun around in your own skin, have you thought of contacting the Canine Defence League?
Woof Woof!
That Peggy is getting darned good at keyboard skills. But more impressively, getting those internet piccies in too. She's clearly more technically gifted than your average thickie that's employed by a few of the call centres I've dealt with lately. Peggy Flobbins is indeed a noble name for such a noble talented dog. My dog has rather bigger ideas above her station. She has the moniker of Her Serene Royal Highness, Princes Tazie Wazie Woo Woo of MOBland. She insists we use it when small children ask what her name is. Great to see you back - I know how a sabbatical can regenerate you.
I, too, am impressed with the internet pictures and wouldn't have a clue how to go about doing one.
Love the pic of Peggy looking so relaxed and wish I had been the teeniest bit creative with Grumps's name.
Would you like to borrow some of my flob arrows? I have lots...
What the Dickens! ;-) Great image
Ah, Peggy, don't despair! The best dogs have flobby bits. At least that's what Jack says. He's got plenty of those. Maybe you're related?
Delightful post, Lane. So jealous of pooches who are allowed to have all sorts of flobbity bits and are called 'cute' for it. My favourite Dickens name, by the way, is the schoolmaster in 'Nicholas Nickelby', Wackford Squeers. Closely followed by Mr Pumblechook in 'Great Expectations. :)
I'm very curious about Tea Bag now. I hope you explain that name. Was it because she fit in a tea cup?
Such a great name! Such a great doggie! X
Fabulous!
Peggy is very learned and I'm a bit embarrassed now that Molly is just ... Molly. Though she does have host of other names depending what mood we're in.
She was Little Molly Blenkinsopp last week, for no reason that I can sensibly explain.
Well I feel much enriched for that - and most impressed with your technicality Lane. Blimey!
I'm with Queenie, didn't even know that novella existed (I love Dickens) so that's another one to add to the list of books I shall be reading over the summer!! Only two weeks to go till I've finished my first year and then I can read fiction to my wee hearts content (for a couple of months anyway!!)
C x
Lovely post. Funny and literary. There's posh . . .
Brilliant! Peggy Flobbins, you are a blogger of note! I really do think you and Tea should nibble Her ankles a bit, inspire her to channel Dickens, you know, and get yourselves sorted with those chicken dinners.
Dickens would be proud of you my dear!
Fab post Peg. Wasn't Dickens the best at names?
I am so happy to return to the blogosphere and find a post from Peg. And what her owner has done with the design of the page is just tremendous.
p.s. aw, the bichons tried to do a post and got an error message on open id.
Naughty blogspot
Dear Pegs--I will definitely tell Her, on your behalf, that girls of a certain age should not be dieted too much. That slack does not spring back and only a certain amount of flob is cute. Much better to be so round, so firmly packed.
I'm not surprised that you found many mentions of your exploits on the internet. Almost as many as Paris Hilton. I haven't heard from your English double in some time. Must check with her Mom to be sure she's well.
I'm lightening quick replying to comments once again:-)
Thank you chaps. And Peggy thanks you too. She does love a comment. Almost as much as a chicken dinner:-)
Faye - Peg agrees whole heartedly that a little tightly packed roundness is a good thing:-)
Nora - Teabag has no real story to her name. I just like tea and she was very small. Funnily enough she gets called Cheesebag too. Don't ask me why:-)
Debs and Flowerpot - the 'internet' shot is just a screen shots. There's a key - PrtSc -(print screen) on the top row of the keyboard:-)
