Hello Mrs hopefully-not-so-shy-any-more Lane. I'm fine generally, though I'm becoming a bit of a recluse, both virtually and IRL.

Looking forward to tonight's chat...

ps. I like the new décor in here.

Denise said...

Ooh, you've been busy decorating, it's lovely. I especially like the way Peggy and Teabag load first, priorities!

I'm very well, though possibly over-starbucked. If that's not a word then it should be.

Shirley Wells said...

There you are! How lovely to see you. And you've been busy changing the decor - very, very nice!

I seem to have been afflicted by Shy's opposite. I'm getting too grumpy - or should that be assertive? - for my own good. People will soon be locking me away.

Hope you're back and recovered very soon. We miss you!

At least we know you are still alive and no doubt novel-prepping all the time. Love the header.

Oh hello, you don't really *know* me - I've been following since I linked from another (ahhhh.. maybe Fionnuala's) blog and, oh - love what you've done to your space btw... I get the Shy's a lot too. There's no creams or tablets that help - time's the best healer.
See you soon.

Never been to the Isle of Shy. Welcome back.

Babaloo said...

Very doubtful. Is this Shy contagious? Where did you catch it? Sounds like a very exotic affliction. Hope you get rid of it soon. xxx

Helen said...

Do you catch it from your computer? 'Cos I'm sure I've had it before....;) Nice too see you back. x

JJ Beattie said...

Ooh it's looking luverly in here. Nice to see you back. Are you staying?

Faye said...

How great it was to check in here and see Lane has left a message for her "chaps"! To help get over the shys, let Peggy F and Teas fill us in on what's been going on. I'm sure they have a lot to say about this time away from their adoring public. :-) Hope all is well with you and your gang Lane.

Willie sends you and all your girls a hearty "Welcome back!"

Lindsay - Hi there. Hopefully Shy won't last long:-)

Amanda - thank you. I've been fiddling with templates for ages now. can get addictive:-)

SueG - Glad you're smiling!:-)

Carol - nice to be back - albeit tentatively:-)

Captain - Trouble is Cap'n, becoming a recluse is far too easy. So don't be a stranger. Speak later.

Denise - if you're over-starbucked then you must be on a writing roll, no? I do hope so.

Shirley - Ah, even though I've got a bout of the Shy, I've still got a healthy dose of Grump. That never goes away. I'll borrow a bit of your assertive though if I may:-)

French Fancy - Hhmm - yes, novel prepping. That's exactly what I've been up to. A bit. Sort of. Ahem.:-)

Misty and Poppy - We got cheese. Cheese. I ask you. When there were perfectly good sausages in the fridge. Hope you're both well:-)

Debs Riccio - hi there. The Shys are a bit of a pain aren't they?
Thanks for your encouragement and see you soon too.

DOT - What never ever? Well there's not much to see there anyway:-)

Babaloo - I don't think it's contagious. I didn't even know I'd contracted it until I decided to venture back online. I will fight it:-)

Helen - I'm sure that's where I caught it. It's definitely an online virus:-)

JJ - I hope to stay. Maybe. Perhaps. I'll try:-)

Faye - Good idea Faye. Peg is always only too willing to have her say. And maybe I can coax some words of wisdom from Teas - in return for a lick of the yoghurt pot:-)
ps The Girlz say hi back to Willie:-)

Welcome back to the blogosphere; the place has seemed a bit duller without you. Like the new look.

Dear Shy, I appear to have been sharing your affliction - but only in the blogosphere. Perhaps what I have instead is an attack of Facebook.
Hope you feel less shy soon!

I will resist the urge to say something witty. So I shall quote a poem called A Word (it has a few words ;-)

A Word

A word is dead
When it is said,
Some say.
I say it just
Begins to live
That Day

by Emily Dickinson

Sometimes it be good to whisper the sound of silence but sometimes it's good to walk to the top of a mountian and SHOUT and scream ! Which ever way you wish to communicate m'dear we're hear to listen. Nice new template by the way, very arty farty. I like :) TFx

Gosh - I was just thinking about you the other day - wondering if you are writing so furiously that blogging just became a thing of the past.

Whatever it is - know you are thought of.

Don't be shy - we're all friends here :o)) Good to see you peeking over the fence anyway! *waves*

Lane said...

Dumdad - Aw thank you . That's kind:-)

Absolute - Same here - it's only an online affliction. Or is it a virus?:-)

TF - Nice choice of pome. There was a poet who knew her words:-)

Aims - not writing as furiously as I'd like unfortunately. Too much 'stuff' has been getting in the way. But getting better. And thank you.

Karen - *waves* back. Do you have cake? Cake helps cure Shy you know:-)

MOB - Thanks MOB - I will. x

Debs - Isn't it called a background? Maybe there's a technical word for it we don't know:-)
And hi too.

L-Plate - hi to you too:-)

Helenmh - and back atchya m'dear

Annieye - ta muchly Ms Eye.

Good to see you again here, a lot of my favourite people in the blogosphere (incl. myself) seem to be a little reclusive or distracted at the moment.

Keep well...

Shy? Hmmmmmmm, I wonder.

Anyhow, good to see you tippy-toeing back into the water. I hope the MASSIVE response might be like, I don't know ... a hint ... or something.

You can take a hint, right?

Lane! Great to see you back and love the new look. I, too have been away more through a hectic Summer than an attack of blogshy-itus virus. Good to have you back. Fx

I find blogging every week very difficult. How do these once a dayers do it?

Lane said...

Bobo - hints? Depends how heavy they are:-)

Rebecca - it's odd. Never really had it before but suddenly been gripped

Queenie - she's very vocal at that end:-)

Ken - I don't either!

Thanks everyone. x

Lane, I live in the land of Shy sometimes. I can be very outgoing, but I've always been a little analytical, an observer. Took me many decades to develop people skills -:) Everyone needs to pull up the ladder and sail off alone sometimes. It's healthy.
