Do My Buns Look Big in This?

Peggy Flobbins can't be trusted.

Photobucket

Teabag can (sort of)

Photobucket

The cakes remained drool free. At least for the duration of the photos. Now, my question to you is ..... do my buns look big in this? (I know, they're really fairy cakes but that wouldn't pun, would it). I'm template tinkering again and experimenting with uploading big photos which I've only just discovered how to do.
Are they falling off your screen?

Oh and help yourself. They are courtesy of The Younger One. Who is now at Big School. How did that happen?

thankyou! I'll just take three. Don't want to be too greedy. Yum!(and the picture size is good, some nice cakey detail!)

Not falling off at all. Perfect.

I'm helping myself BTW. They look great!

ChrisH said...

Not falling off but taking ages and ages to load - but worth waiting for :)

They´re not falling off and they´re not taking ages to load and those cupcakes look great. I´ll have a couple of them, thank you!

Lindsay said...

No time to load, photos great and so are the cakes - yum yum!

Queenie said...

They look so good that I'm with Peggy Flobbins, if you hadn't offered I'd have nabbed one anyway.

I think the younger one needs to make another batch and fast! I want some, too! They look delicious. And not at all too big and they're loading perfectly fine for me.

Gah, now I want cupcakes for my afternoon tea! Glad I bought a little pecan slice this morning at the shop, though. That'll have to do.

That Peggy Flobbins knows a good Peggy thing when she sees it. All she needed in those photo's was a china tea cup and saucer to complete the image of afternoon tea in a lovely country cottage. Hope she put in some extra aerobic work to burn off those treats. Perhaps Peggy could start her own cookery posts, detailing the perfect afternoon tea sandwiches sans crusts and so on to promote this very English repast activity. I think there's mileage in it!

With faces that cute and buns that yummy how could the photos be too large? No delay in load up. Something tells me Peggy F doesn't care about what the cakes do to the size of her buns. . .that is, until she has to try to get her coat on for that first winter walkey!

BTW, love MOB's idea of Peggy F writing some cookery posts.

Yummy scrum buns!

And good to see you tinkering.

Oooh, I'm not too late, am I?

How? HOW do you make the pictures big... HOW?

Hmmmm, Lovely cakes. The bigger the better!

"The Cake Making Adventures of Peggy Flobbins and Teabag". Oh, methinks Literary Lady Lane should be writing children's short stories? Woof! Woof! TFx

They aren't celiac cakes are they - drats.

The big size is easy on my failing eyesight dear Lane. Don't mind at all.

French Fancy said...

I could easily polish off a bun or two with my tea now. I had jelly and custard for pudding today so I sure am in a retro kind of mood

Rebecca - after your recent news you deserve a celebratory three:-)

Helen - Thank you. I might help myself to one in your avatar too:-)

Chrish - Soz. It's all Peggy's fault of course:-)

The Green Stone Woman - Thank you. And you're welcome:-)

Lindsay - glad you liked them:-)

Queenie - and you'd have been most welcome. All Peg got in the end was a lick of a wrapper.

Babaloo - I'll have her whip you up a batch. Mind you, a pecan slice sounds pretty good too:-)

MOB - what a great idea. And I'm sure Peggy agrees. As for aerobic activity - I'm not sure she understands....:-)

Faye - You're right - Peg doesn't care for all that 'moment on the lips, lifetime on the hips' malarkey. Just buy a bigger coat:-)
And I (and Peg) rather like MOB's idea too. With Teas as guardian of the table.

McBobo - I think I'm all tinkered out. Almost:-)

JJ - Don't use the Blogger upload thing because they only let you have a certain size.
Put your photos in something like Photobucket where you can resize them to whatever you want and they give you an html code which you can paste straight into the html page of blogger. (or you can use the direct link)

BUT, you have to tweak the html of your template to make it bigger - where it says Outer Wrapper and Main Wrapper.

AND before you do this you should change your template to Minima.

Hope that makes sense:-)

Tom Foolery - "The Cake Making Adventures of Peggy Flobbins and Teabag".. Love that title. And would love the research:-)
Woof.

Aims - Next time I'll get the Younger One to make celiac ones just for you.
I like the 'big' too. No squinting:-)

French fancy - Ooh retro food. So comforting. Especially custard:-)

Lovely buns but I can't see your side bar at the same time as the buns - I have to move the bar thingy. Not a great effort, but you did ask. Dogs are adorable in their desire for the cakes. I feel the same way.

So kind of you, Lane, to provide drool-inducing but calorie-free virtual buns! That Teabag - I'm so close to dognapping her, allergies or no allergies (mine, not the pooch's). I've no problems with the loading or display of the pictures. And so good to see you back in the blogosphere - missed you.

Fia said...

I hope you let Peggy have that one. She's so nearly there, bless her spikey hair.

Fantastic icing.

Amanda said...

Oooh, don't mind if I do. They look yummy! :-)

Debs said...

Late as usual, so hope there's one left for me.

Loving the cheeky Peggy and the well behaved Teabag. Grumps would be all over that table given half a chance, he loves fairy cakes.

I am drooling now... good to see another post!

Your buns look lovely!! (That just sounds so wrong!!)

Awww, all that's left is crumbs...never mind...I'm trying to lose weight anyway *crunches dispiritedly into a carrot*

Tam said...

I like big buns and I cannot lie :-) Those ones look especially tasty, my dear!

Maggie May said...

They look great cakes and I love the little dogs and the red table cloth!

JJ Beattie said...

Oh dear... thank you Lane, but this is where I start to hyperventilate 'you have to tweak the html of your template'. EEEEK. I shall have to ask Andrew Computer...

Thank you.

LadyFi said...

Lovely buns! No problems loading the photo and it fits perfectly onto my screen (Mac).

Troy said...

Good to see you back blogging.
Your buns look great in the photos. Just the right size to sink my teeth into (if I might be so bold!). Yum, yum!

French Fancy said...

How could you ever think that I would be grumpy about seeing photos of cakes or dogs - they are two of my favourite things in life.

My moan was about endless wiki images that some people seem to post endlessly. Honest. I love you.

HelenMHunt said...

Teabag looks so prim and proper - bless her heart x

sheepish said...

Oh dear too late for the cakes [well done Youger one] but I seem to be the only one with a problem of size!!! It doesn't fit on my screen any suggestions but must be completely non technical and in words of one syllable!!

Shirley Wells said...

The pics are loading quickly and wonderfully well. I could clear the plate in seconds. They look scrummy!

Casdok said...

Your buns look great big!

Graeme K Talboys said...

Phwor look at the buns on that!

They've pushed the sidebar to one side, but I was a tad distracted in any case.

Liane Spicer said...

Um, maybe I should use the word 'voluptuous' just to be safe... :)

Your buns look great in my browser.

Lane said...

Susie V - Sorry about that although I thought it might be the case for some. There's not a whole lot on the sidebar anyway:-)

Lorna F- virtual cakes are great for the hips but nothing beats the real thing. And I think Teabag would agree:-)

Fia - the icing was rather good. Peg will vouch for that:-)

Amanda - My pleasure:-)

Debs - I bet Grumps does. And rightly so:-)

Flowerpot - thanks fp:-)

Carol - could you not put the carrot in a cake and just call it carrot cake? Very healthy:-)

Sonia - hmmm you could be right. Maybe she snitched one before the photo:-)

Tam - ha! Very good:-)

Maggie May - hi there and thank you!

JJ - oops soz m'dear but 'tis quite simple - honest. Hope your computer expert can help:-)

LadyFi- thanks! Glad to hear it:-)

Troy - oo'er Matron:-)
(and good to be back)

French Fancy - Aaah - I know what you mean. I'm just being paranoid:-)
And back atchya.

Helenmh - maybe too prim. As Sonia pointed out, maybe she'd already nicked one:-)

Sheepish - I think it probably has something to do with your screen resolution but I'm not sure. It does the same thing on my daughter's computer. Do not adjust your set:-)
ps there's always a virtual cake for you.

Shirley - Glad it loads for you. Thanks:-)

Casdok - thank you. I am rather proud of my big buns:-)

Graeme - I'll just have to keep on posting big buns then to distract you:-)

Wordtyst - Good choice of word. So apt:-)

Makes me very tired of eating Cheerios. Lovely pics of beautiful buns ... as far as size, as Goldilocks said, they're just right.

I could be wrong, but it looks as though your last post was in SEPTEMBER.

I don't think we can put up with this sort of laziness, Missy. Get yer typing fingers out and WRITE SOMETHING!

We miss you.

I have just felt obliged to lick my screen. Sadly it tasted nothing like vanilla or strawberry icing. I feel deeply thwarted!
